Definitions
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
“You” means the individual accessing or using the Application, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Application, as applicable.
“Personal Data” is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
“Application” is our mobile application for Android, titled “Chainlane”.
“Device” is Your mobile phone, tablet or other device that runs our Application.
“Route” is a list of coordinates. It may or may not reflect a travelled route.
“Track” is a list of coordinates that You have travelled. Each coordinate includes time visited, and it may include Health Data.
“Health Data” refers to data we collect from Health Connect, specificially heart rate, pedal power meter and cadence sensor readings.
“Online Service” is our data synchronization service, accessible through an Account.
“Account” is a unique account created by You for use with our Online Service, identified by an Email address.
“Account Data” is the data stored in our Online Service for your Account. It includes your Email address, Tracks and Routes.
“Premium” is a paid subscription service that enables access to our Online Service and other features in our Application.
Data Processors
Supabase
Supabase is operated by Supabase, Inc., see Privacy Policy. We use Supabase as storage for our Online Service and Accounts. Data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany.
Powersync
Powersync is operated by Journey Mobile, Inc., see Privacy Policy. We use Powersync to provide data synchronization between Your Device and our Online Service. It does not act as long-term storage.
Sentry
Sentry is operated by Functional Software, Inc, see Privacy Policy. Data processing location is Germany.
Data Collection
On Device
The Application stores Routes and Tracks on Your Device. Routes and Tracks may be shared with other applications on Your Device when initiated by You.
Online Service
Our Online Service collects Email address, Route and Track data. This data is shared with any of Your Devices when you sign in to Your Account.
Premium is required to use our Online Service. We will periodically delete Accounts whose Premium has not been active for more than 6 months. You may request deletion sooner by contacting us. When an Account is deleted, its Account Data is deleted as well.
Health Data
You may opt-in to store Health Data as part of Tracks. You may also opt-in to share health data with other applications on Your Device.
We process Health Data only with your explicit consent, given through the Application settings. You can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling Health Data collection in the Application.
Error Tracking
We use Sentry to capture Application errors, which may sometimes contain Personal Data. This data is used solely for the purpose of improving the Application and deleted after 30-90 days.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your Personal Data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: To provide our Application, Online Service, and Premium features.
- Consent: When you opt in to collect Health Data or share Routes/Tracks.
- Legitimate interests: To maintain and improve our Application.
- Legal obligation: When required to comply with applicable laws or regulations.
Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
These include encryption in transit and at rest, access control, and regular security audits of our Application and Online Service.
Data Protection Rights
You are entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request Our Company for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Our Company correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Company to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Our Company erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Our Company restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Our Company’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Our Company transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
